Breakfast at Tiffany's

Base Coat: Sephora by OPI 3-in-1 base, top & strengthener
Base Color: China Glaze For Audrey
Tips: OPI Crown Me Already! (Miss Universe Collection Summer 2011)
Top Coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

I know I've already used this color and design but it's for a good reason! My hunny got my previous hint and bought a 18 kt white gold Return to Tiffany necklace! It's currently being sent off to be engraved and I'm super excited.

In high school a whole bunch of girls used to have all sorts of sterling silver Tiffany & Co jewelry with engravings of their name with their boyfriend's name. Unfortunately I'm highly allergic to sterling silver and well I found it weird to engrave names if you haven't been with each other for long. But nine years is rolling in fast and this is perfect. Love you hunny! I'll take pictures when it comes back.

He bought me the one on the left.

Christmas Present

I had to share the most awesome Christmas gift I got from my high school bestie! She presented me with American Apparel Glow in the Dark nail polish. The only glow in the dark nail polish I own is OPI Zombody to Love which is a ghoulish green color. It is not very flattering on a non Halloween season if you know what I mean.

However these beauties can be used throughout the year. On the left is Neptune, a name that fits the cyan blue color. The other nail polish is Moon which has a milky white color. In comparison the luminescence on Moon is stronger than Neptune but that tends to be true for all glow in the dark objects. I'll need to bust out my OPI one later and do a swatch to see which one has a better glow. That will be another project in the future!

3 days til Christmas. Hope everyone is safe and well!

Christmas Nail Art - Christmas Party Dress

Base Coat: Sephora by OPI 3-in-1 base, top & strengthener
Base Color: China Glaze Agro (The Hunger Games Capitol Colors Spring 2012)
Chevron Design: OPI Pirouette My Whistle (New York City Ballet Spring 2012)
Top Coat: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

I have a Christmas party to attend tomorrow and it's time for a nail glam up! This was inspired by my party dress which has chevron patterns all around. This was easy to replicate since chevron nails has been all the rage the past couple months. Maybe because the main technique was using tape! Hehe. Time to go need to do some more last minute prep.

Christmas Nail Art - My True Love Gave To Me

Base Coat: Sephora by OPI 3-in-1 base, top & strengthener
Base Color: China Glaze For Audrey
Ribbon: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On
Bow Outline: LA Colors Art Deco Black Sparkles
Top Coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

Recently my ex coworker posted a Tiffany & Co gift on her Instagram and I knew what I wanted to do. It was perfect since my China Glaze For Audrey came in a couple days ago after being lost for a while by USPS. Seriously it was a nightmare but was so worth getting this color. For Audrey is a blue teal creme polish which of course is the signature color for Tiffanys. Added the white ribbon (again their trademark) using the tape to technique. I really wanted to Konad the bow but it didn't show up well so I improvised by drawing the bow by hand. Messy but not my worst. Hopefully this hints to my hunny what I want for Christmas. What do you think?

Christmas Nail Art - Let it snow

Suzi Says Feng Shui & Dating a Royal

Christmas is zooming in fast and I am nowhere near finished with shopping! As always I will procrastinate and ignore the Christmas fever. Beginning with mentioning that I found the perfect Christmas party dress at Guess with the most awesome surprise! Two OPI Nail Polish! Oh and this came after I noticed I lacked blues in my collection. Someone up there does listen! :D

I bet you're wondering why Guess is handing random OPI polish out. Well currently Guess is doing this as a promotion for their "Denim is Our World" microsite. You can post picture of yourself in the most awesome denim sexy pose. I am dead serious. You can check it out for yourself here. I won't judge if you do post.

Base coat: Sephora by OPI 3-in-1 base, top & strengthener
Base color: OPI Dating a Royal (Mod About Brights Summer 2008)
Tips: OPI Crown Me Already! (Miss Universe Collection Summer 2011)
Top coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

Well of course I had to use one of the new polishes so here it is! I was inspired by one of the trees my coworker made for a contest we're having. Too bad I don't have picture of the tree but basically it's made of hangers and garland in the shape of a Christmas tree. It's quite adorable. My nail art contains the same colors but I decided to go for the window frosted look at the tips. No special tools just brushing the glitter on and building up at the tips. Super blingtastic!

Until next time! 14 days left til Christmas! Seriously I haven't found any digital cameras in my house. Maybe the dogs ate it.

Christmas Nail Art - Here Comes Santa Claus

Base coat: Sephora by OPI 3-in-1 base, top & strengthener
Base color: OPI Vodka & Caviar (Russian Collection Fall 2007)
White trimmings: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On
Santa's Belt: LA Colors Art Deco Black Sparkles
Santa's Buckle: Del Sol Metal Mania
Top coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

Here's my Christmas nail art! Really not that hard to make. Create a french manicure using a red nail polish on the index, middle, and pinky finger. Use the tape method for the ring finger. Paint your thumb nail. Then use the dotting tool to create the fluffy white trims. For the belt I used my black striper nail polish and then used a dotting tool to make the belt. Voila! Instant Santa Claus on nails. Okay maybe not that easy but it does take practice and patience. :)

Until next time! 19 day to go!

Christmas Nail Art - String of lights

Base coat: Sephora by OPI 3-in-1 base, top & strengthener
Base color: China Glaze Dress me up (The Hunger Games - Capitol Colors Collection Spring 2012)
Red lights: OPI Vodka & Caviar (Russian Collection Fall 2007)
Green lights: China Glaze Def Defying (Cirque De Soleil Collection Fall 2012)
String: LA Colors Art Deco Black Sparkles
Top coat: Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

Today starts my first Christmas nail art. A failed attempted to make strings of Christmas lights. My hands were so shaky like it had a mind of its own. It doesn't look that bad but still frustrating.

Next nail art will have Christmas trees. Hopefully it will be better!
